After you are confident with chords and the strumming, we can learn the lyrics of the song. Learning lyrics of the song helps us greatly when we play guitar along with singing. Now play the music in the guitar and count the rhythm loudly. Repeat this over and over again. Once you are thorough with using the voice and hands start slowly adding lyrics of the song into the music.

Method 2

In the second method, learn the chords and lyrics separately. Now find the recorded version of the song and play it. Start humming the lyrics and once you are comfortable with it, start singing lyrics to it. Practice this way until you can sing and play without the record.
